Manatee Habitat’s latest Veteran to participate in the Veteran Build program is Juan Garcia. Juan was in the Armor Unit of the Army for 10.5 years, reaching the rank of Sgt. (E-5) and achieving the position of Tank Commander. He served in Kuwait, South Korea and Germany and was then deployed to Iraq for 13 months. Juan was Honorably Discharged with Medical Disability on February 14, 2010.
