Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Manatee County Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks fo life to join us as we build affordable houses in partnership with God and families in need. We have a variety of ways in which you can put your faith into action. Volunteer Registration To get started as a volunteer, simply click on the "VOLUNTEER: Sign Up Today!" link at the top of the page to access our volunteer registration & scheduling program. Once in the program, follow the prompts to fill out the registration form and go to the calendar to sign up for the day(s) you want to volunteer. Please print a copy of the waiver form and bring with you the first time you volunteer. HOME CONSTRUCTION
Hope Landing, our next 18 home communtiy is located in the 3800 block of 17th Street East in Ellenton. Please check back frequently for updates on the start date of construction at Hope Landing. For safety reasons, when you come out to volunteer, please wear sunscreen and closed-toed shoes. No open toed shoes are permitted on the work site. Also, please wear clothing appropriate for the work and weather conditions. All tools and safety equipment are provided. Youth under the age of 16 are not permitted on an active construction site. We take a break at 9:30 for a snack and announcements. All groups of 5 or more must schedule in advance with our Volunteer Manager. Do you want to help, but you're not interested in working construction? No problem! You can help by providing snacks for our hardworking volunteers on the construction site. If you are interested in providing the snack for break time, please contact Angeline Brown directly at (941) 748-9100 ext. 104. RESTORE You can help the Habitat mission by volunteering at our retail outlet ReStore. The ReStore sells building materials, furniture, appliances, etc...and the proceeds are used toward our home building. Volunteers at our ReStore answer phones, process donations, put merchandise on the shelves and much, much more! In addition to helping our mission of building affordable housing, the ReStore is environmentally friendly because it keeps tons of usable product out of our landfills. The ReStore needs volunteers Mondays through Saturdays from 10 am until 5 pm. Our shifts are flexible and we'll have one to accommodate your schedule. The ReStore is located at 1227 Hardin Avenue in the Tallevast area of Southern Manatee county, near the Sarasota/Bradenton airport. Volunteering with Habitat can be fun and rewarding. Put your faith into action by volunteering! Please contact our Volunteer Programs Manager, Angeline Brown at (941) 748-9100 ext. 104 or email at:
