Families

Partner families are the heart of what Manatee County Habitat for Humanity does. They are our reason for existing and the visible difference a home can make in a person’s life. Read the stories below about local partner families.
If you live or work in Manatee County, you encounter Habitat homeowners every day. Here a few examples of where our existing homeowners work:
Manatee Memorial Hospital Tropicana Products
Freedom Village Tropitone Furniture Company
Woody’s River Roo One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
The Longboat Key Club Sunshine Academy and Daycare
Community AIDS Network Palmetto Head Start
Manatee Habitat offers eligible families the opportunity to purchase their own home through a no-interest mortgage with affordable monthly payments. In addition to meeting income requirements and taking homebuyer education classes, partner families work side-by-side with volunteers to build their own homes and those of their future neighbors.
If you want to know more about home ownership through Habitat, contact Didi Hager at (941) 748-9100, ext 102 or chager@manateehabitat.org.
